Sickening Sundays

*** WARNING: These pictures are disturbing. I'm linking to them because... well, I don't know why, maybe because now that I've seen them, I can't UNSEE them; I need someone to suffer with me. ***

Long distance and marathon runners often lose toenails. Sometimes they fall out, other times they have to be removed. By itself this isn't a big deal. But someone decided to make a necklace out of them.

If you're still with me, how about the sad story of the man from Romania with keratin-growths on his hands and feet? On the bright-side, they are getting better, thanks to a dremel saw. Poor guy!

Andrew, that is disgusting... the toenails, I mean. The hand and feet thing was a lot easier to look at but very sad.

What in the world were you looking for when you found these sites?

I was reading up on Marathons and ultra-distance runners (100km+) when I came across the toenails. As for the hands, I've seen that in a couple of places, so I thought I'd toss it up there too.
